Pakistan Justice & Rights Initiative (PJ&RI) is more than just a dream—it is a beacon of hope, empowerment, and opportunity for the youth of Pakistan. Established with the vision of nurturing informed, skilled, and socially responsible young leaders, PJ&RI has emerged as a transformative platform for youth engagement, legal awareness, and social justice.
The initiative was formally founded on 1st August 2024 by Mr. Muhammad Shayan Qureshi, in collaboration with Ms. Neelam Hassan, and with the valuable support of Mr. Ch. Muhammad Salman Asghar. From its inception, PJ&RI was envisioned as a youth-led, digitally driven organization committed to empowering young minds through education, advocacy, and practical exposure.
Founding Phase
In August 2024, PJ&RI began its operations under its first cabinet, which laid the foundational structure of the organization. During this early phase, PJ&RI actively organized a range of virtual activities, including webinars, awareness campaigns, and interactive discussions, allowing youth from across Pakistan to participate regardless of geographical limitations.
Growth and Expansion Timeline
Building on this momentum, PJ&RI introduced its internship programs, successfully conducting two major internship cohorts in September and December 2024. These programs proved to be a landmark achievement, with hundreds of young participants graduating, gaining hands-on experience in legal research, advocacy, leadership, and digital skills.
In January 2025, PJ&RI expanded its academic and intellectual footprint by launching competitive platforms, beginning with the PJ&RI 1st National Article Writing Competition, encouraging critical thinking and scholarly engagement among youth.
By February 2025, the first cabinet of PJ&RI successfully completed its six-month tenure, marking a milestone of organizational stability and growth. The same month witnessed a major leap forward with the launch of the PJ&RI Ambassador Program, through which PJ&RI entered prominent institutions across Pakistan, significantly enhancing its national presence and outreach.
February 2025 also marked another historic achievement when PJ&RI introduced Pakistan’s first automated certificate-generation system, reflecting the organization’s commitment to innovation, transparency, and modern digital governance.
Throughout March 2025, PJ&RI conducted multiple impactful activities, strengthening its engagement with youth nationwide. In April 2025, PJ&RI announced the establishment of its eight operational divisions and successfully recruited over 150 interns across these divisions. During the same period, the PJ&RI Law Moot Society was formally established, providing a structured platform for moot court training and advocacy skills.
During the summer of 2025, PJ&RI conducted Pakistan’s largest virtual internship program, alongside dozens of academic, advocacy, and skill-based activities, including moot competitions, workshops, and awareness drives, further solidifying its leadership in youth development.
In August 2025, PJ&RI launched its Annual Membership Program, successfully enrolling hundreds of members across its five provincial chapters, thereby strengthening its grassroots presence.
